“You have received without paying, so give without being paid.” (Mt 10:8)

“You have received without paying, so give without being paid.” (Mt 10:8)

You have received everything freely without paying even a single paisa. It is not any human being’s saying but God, the giver of everything, himself says. So let us be genuinely generous toward our brethren. Yes, of course, sometimes we find people who are very generous towards others that the public even may praise their magnanimity and generosity. This is very commonly found in festive occasions, celebrations and public functions. Seeing the preparations, decorations, food and other arrangements we congratulate the people behind it. But, be careful that our generosity should not be ever at the expense of others. Now and again we find generous people when it is paid from common fund or from others’ pocket. Remember, something is really gifted when it is at your own expense. Mother says, “Let your love be always until it hurts or pains you.” Today let us thank God for the various graces we have received from him and ask for the special grace we need to be thankful throughout our life. Let our talents, time and money be at the service of our brethren. May God bless us!
Have a nice day….
