Holy
Rosary Month - Day 1: Praying Rosary is Praying Bible
Introduction: Being a simple devotee of Our
Lady of Rosary, my dear friends, I will be more meditating on the Marian
mysteries in this month of Holy Rosary. Therefore, my Daily Bible Reflections
will be focusing on the same except on Sundays. I do hope these Marian reflections
may help and strengthen also your devotion to Our Lady. Do you join with me in
this Marian pilgrimage? If yes, be rest assured of her best intercessions for
you before Jesus throughout your life especially in this month of holy rosary. Mother
Mary is the most reliable one who will take you and me faithfully to Jesus our
Lord and God. It is she who prunes me every now and then to be a faithful and fruitful
priest of the eternal priest Jesus Christ. Since she is the first tabernacle of
Jesus, confidently I meet and invoke her intercession often in my priestly life.
She keeps me on track of prayer of intercession. Let this month be an occasion
to learn the meaning and power of intercessory prayers in our life.
Praying
rosary is praying bible itself for each mystery of the rosary is a meditation
on the word of the Lord. Though rosary cannot take the place of holy mass, persons
who cannot participate in the holy mass, if prayed rosary devotionally and
meaningfully, will not be away from heaven. For, praying rosary itself is a meditation
on the life and salvific mystery of Jesus Christ. Holy mass begins with the
Gloria, a remembrance of the announcement of the birth of Jesus to the
shepherds by the angels. It leads you through the public ministry, passion,
death and resurrection. Holy rosary is also helping you and me to go through
the same mysteries. I will add in these reflections new five preparatory
mysteries that will lead us to the messianic prophecies in the Old Testament.
Wish you a blessed Marian pilgrimage to all of you!
Prayer: O Mary, mother of Jesus! We come
to you for your help and protection. In this pilgrimage be with us that we may
not go astray and reach Jesus, your son, our Lord. O star of seas! Like a child
we trust in you, guide us safely to the shore of truth and life. Amen!
