“If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget self,...” (Mt 16:15)

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget self, carry his cross, and follow me.” (Mt 16:15)

Meditation:      Here, Jesus is out of the way, ya… surely as always. How do you feel? ...  I feel that today he acts as if he doesn’t know anything about the primary principles of commerce. He is only a beginner and wants to get disciples for the promotion of the kingdom of god. We know for sure that every beginner presents himself more attractive, accommodating, inclusive, and less expensive. For that he goes up to any extent of expense. But here what we find is that he is not attractive at all, not ready to accommodate each and everyone, and is of course more expensive. He is more demanding. You have to deny yourself, give up or rather sell everything what you have and give the money to the poor. What a poor marketing management he has! Yes, friend, my Lord was very poor at business; he didn’t make any adjustments with regard to discipleship and their way/style of life. No advertisements, no attractions, and hidden agendas! If you want to follow me, my friend, please deny yourself and come. And behold, he had no scarcity of vocations even in the time of intense persecutions. Many were ready to give up everything they had and ready to lay down their lives. Many attractions are there today in the name Jesus, and stillll…

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we thank you and praise you for the authenticity you imparted to us today through your word. We want to dethrone ourselves and enthrone you as our Lord and king in our life. We want to say “no” to our self and “yes” to you and your will. At the same time we know that we are weak and fragile. Therefore, fill us and guide us with your holy spirit, so that we may respond to his call faithfully.  Amen!

Greetings:        Take courage God is with you! Have a nice and blissful day….
